of African American History, entitled "Celebrating African American Culture." We play from 4:00 to 5:00pm,
outside in the middle of the campus. The celebration starts at 10:00am with choirs, hip-hoppers, poetry, R & B, kids entertainment,
clothing booths and food.

nice soft ballads and light swing facing the new rail system close to downtown Phoenix. Great food and wonderful acoustic
room centrally located.
4/3/11 - NEWS FLASH!!- We will NOT be at the Lexington because the management is not finished
with their construction project there. They are doing major renovations and it will take a while. We are getting updates every
week, so as soon as I know, I will post it here. ALL SUNDAY BRUNCHES ARE POSTPONED for now until further notice. In the meantime
enjoy and buy my CD and look at the video clips and the pictures posted here on this site. As you are listening to our music,
close your eyes and let your imagination take you to a major jazz festival with us playing in front of thousands and you notice
the backdrop of the ocean and palm trees swaying to the music. Isn't that wonderful? 7/8/11
- The Wigwam Resort; 300 E. Wigwam Blvd., Litchfield Park, AZ 85340; We are playing there in a duo format from 7:30-11:00pm.
Their phone number is 623-935-3811.
8/18/11 - The Zendejas Grill - The gig has ended. Another venue has thrown in the towel for jazz and chose to not treat artists
well. Your word should be your bond, but not with the owners of this venue. Oh well- another loss for jazz on the west
side of Phoenix.
9/9/11 - The Wigwam Resort - Same details as above except the
performance times. We are playing from 7:00 to 11:00pm. One time affair. You have to catch these
public gigs as soon as they occur. When you snooze you lose and the gig is gone.
11/19/11
- New Vision Spiritual Center; 18010 N. Tatum Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85032- 3-5:00pm - We will play the first hour ONLY- There
will be a book signing and talk the other hour. My book Reconnected-How To Be A Mentor To Your Child-Self is released and
available at the book signing and here: My personal growth website www.cloudsofabundance.com We are playing in the private sector and will post our public appearances when they occur. Public venues
presently are not a healthy fit for an acoustic jazz quartet. That will change soon. Optimism is a word to internalize during these so-called challenging
times. The word optimism really means to firmly believe that the best is possible and probable in your life. We have to claim
optimism and make it our best friend. The feeling of optimism carries a certain healing, uplifting energy that starts the
process of change within and without. When we are optimistic we bring toward us the change that we seek. This takes a high
level of faith to do this and that is what true jazz fans have as this art form is not considered "popular music,"
and is not heard readily on the radio.
So we use our faith to bring on not only a healed financial picture for
us, but also more choices in live jazz in exclusive jazz venues: clubs, coffee shops and restaurants, so on any given
day or night of the week you can go out and be guaranteed of hearing good, honest traditional, acoustic jazz reflecting the
powerhouse masters like Art Blakey and John Coltrane. We can have New Renaissance and others exposed regularly out here, not
relegated to duos or trios, but playing in the quartet, quintet, sextet and larger just like the masters did with fiery horn
sections and hard hitting rhythm sections. We can have all of this and more as long as we have optimism as our creed. Yes
we can, yes we can and yes we will.
For those of you who love to focus on personal development, go to my internet-based
radio show and experience my other hat that I wear. www.blogtalkradio.com/reconnected - I host my Reconnected show, which
is a talk show based on my book "Reconnected-How To Be A Mentor To Your Child-Self." I interview guests every week
with valuable personal growth tools many are using to improve their lives.
